Our role
Fix My Damp operates as a referral and matching platform.
We:
• Collect details about your damp issue
• Match you with a suitable specialist in your area
• May facilitate communication, quotes, or booking depending on the job
• We may receive a referral fee from specialists
We do not carry out damp treatment works ourselves. Any work carried out is performed by the specialist you choose.
Nature of the service
By using our service, you acknowledge that:
• Specialists are independent third parties, not employees of Fix My Damp
• We do not control or supervise the work carried out
• We do not guarantee outcomes, timelines, or pricing of specialist services
• Fix My Damp does not provide professional advice and any information on the website is for general guidance only.
You enter into a separate agreement directly with the specialist for any work undertaken.
Quotes, surveys and pricing
Getting matched with a specialist is free
• Survey fees (if applicable) are set by the specialist
• All pricing will be confirmed before any work is agreed
Depending on the job:
• Quotes and communication may be handled by Fix My Damp, or Directly by the specialist
• Depending on the job, payments may be made either directly to the specialist or to Fix My Damp acting as an intermediary. Where Fix My Damp facilitates payment, this will be made clear before any payment is taken.
Fix My Damp is not responsible for the performance of services provided by specialists, regardless of how payment is made.
Guarantees and warranties
Some specialists may offer guarantees on their work.
• These guarantees are provided solely by the specialist
• Terms, duration, and coverage vary
• You should confirm all details directly with the specialist
Fix My Damp does not provide guarantees on any work carried out.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
• Fix My Damp is not liable for any work carried out by a specialist
• We are not responsible for any loss, damage, delays, or disputes arising from services provided by a specialist
• We are not responsible for the accuracy of quotes or advice provided by specialists
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Vetting and accuracy
We aim to work with qualified and reputable specialists and may carry out checks such as:
• Accreditation (e.g. PCA where applicable).
However, we do not guarantee:
• The suitability of a specialist for your specific situation
• The completeness or accuracy of information provided
You are responsible for verifying any specialist before proceeding.
Availability and response times
We aim to respond to enquiries within 2 hours during business hours.
However:
• Response times are not guaranteed
• Availability of specialists may vary by location and demand
Your responsibilities
By using our service, you agree to:
• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Not misuse the platform
• Communicate respectfully with any specialist
• You confirm that you are the property owner, authorised occupier, or have permission to arrange works at the property
• You agree to be contacted by Fix My Damp and by any specialist we match you with in relation to your enquiry
Cancellation and disputes
Any work agreed is between you and the specialist.

Fix My Damp may assist where possible but is not responsible for resolving disputes.
